CO2 Now

What the world needs to watch

Global warming is mainly the result of CO2 levels rising in the Earth’s atmosphere. Both atmospheric CO2 and climate change are accelerating. Climate scientists say we have years, not decades, to stabilize CO2 and other greenhouse gases.

To help the world succeed, CO2Now.org makes it easy to see the most current CO2 level and what it means. So, use this site and keep an eye on CO2.  Invite others to do the same. Then we can do more to send CO2 in the right direction.

Watch CO2 now and know the score on global warming, practically in real time.

1. Leading Indicator for our Planetary Challenge PDF Print E-mail

Our challenge is to solve global warming and the climate crisis.  Atmospheric CO2 measurements from the Mauna Loa Observatory gives us the most current, comprehensive and objective indicator of our collective progress for solving the problems of global warming and climate change.  CO2Now.org exists to make this information visible for people far and wide.

2. Widgets for a Worldwide Display of Atmospheric CO2 PDF Print E-mail

The current level of atmospheric CO2 can be displayed from any website or blog with a CO2Now widget.   We supply the graphic design options, promptly update the data and cover the cost of bandwidth.  By using a CO2Now  widget, you are helping to raise the profile of this objective and important information about what is happening right now in the atmosphere.  This helps more people tune into information about the trends most directly responsible for global warming and climate change.

3. Earth's Home Page for Atmospheric CO2 PDF Print E-mail

CO2Now.org puts the spotlight on atmospheric CO2 like no other website in the world.  This includes making it the obvious focal point of the website's home page.  When you are looking for current, reliable information about atmospheric CO2 (and other greenhouse gases), this is the home page to start with.

4. Liberation of CO2 Data PDF Print E-mail

Data for atmospheric CO2 is too important to bury among thousands of FTP pages on the website of a major scientific institution.   If the data is good enough to play a starring role in An Inconvenient Truth, and if it is good enough to be at the heart of reports issued by the International Panel on Climate Change, we think the data should be easier to find and view.   Click here to see more than 600 months of CO2 for the instrument record that Charles David Keeling started at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii.

5. We Deliver Atmospheric News & Updates Worldwide PDF Print E-mail

You don't need to go to CO2Now.org to stay on top of what is happening with atmosphere.  We deliver Atmosphere Monthly free of charge by email to anyone, anywhere in the world.   Click here to subscribe and be among the first to know about the changes in the atmosphere, practically in real time.
